Cobb Architects is an award winning architecture firm located in downtown Charleston, South Carolina. We are seeking an Intern Architect with 0 – 3 years of experience, preferably in the residential design field. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with the principal architect on all phases of the design process, drawing production and construction observation.

Project Manager or Project Architect

The Middleton Group, is seeking an experienced project manager or project architect who can step in and work on projects immediately. We are looking for someone who enjoys what they do and feels comfortable taking leadership of projects with oversight from a managing principal. Project types include small residential renovations, new custom houses, commercial renovations, upfits, and new buildings. Some projects require fast turnaround times, so being efficient with decision making and finishing construction drawings is a must. Being licensed is not required however showing dedication working towards licensure is encouraged.

The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications and responsibilities:

-Bachelors or Master's Degree in Architecture.
-Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an architectural firm
-Significant client contact and management.
-Work with Principals to develop proposals, process billings and manage consultants.
-Responsible for design management with strong design skills and a willingness to work on a diverse set of projects
-Responsible for construction drawings, specifications, planning and design on a given project with authority to direct, control, and monitor all activities. Coordinates all trades and agencies related to building design while monitoring drawings.
-Preparation of drawings and presentations for design review boards. Experience with the City of Charleston Board of Architectural Review is a bonus.
-Responsible for supervision and quality-control review of support staff.
-A 'can do' work attitude on all tasks from the mundane to the extraordinary
-Self-motivated and pro-active
-Good communication skills: Verbal & Written
-Experienced in all different aspects of the profession
-Revit is the principal software used, so proficiency in Revit is required
-Have an interest in growing with the firm and being an essential part of a successful organization
