Candidates must be self-motivated and have experience  detailing and putting together a set of construction documents. Proficiency in Revit and  Sketchup is required.</p>
<p>Candidate  must also have an eagerness and willingness to learn all aspects of  architectural practice including project management, design, development of  construction documents and construction administration. This person must have a  high level of maturity, must be able to work independently and self-direct, must  demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, have the ability  to effectively follow instructions, as well as consistently maintain accuracy.  &nbsp;Candidate must be detail oriented and punctual in meeting time and  deadlines.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Specific duties include:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Preparation  of three-dimensional models of proposed projects using SketchUp software. </li>
<li>Development  of project plans for a set of construction documents. </li>
<li>Preparation  of construction documents using Revit. </li>
<li>Development  of key building details for construction documents. </li>
<li>Coordination  of efforts directly with the Managing Principal. </li>
<li>Coordination  of the work of outside engineering and specialty consultants. </li>
<li>Coordination  with General Contractors during the construction phase.</li>
</ul>
<p>This is for a part-time, contract based position with  approximately 18-24 hours per week, but could turn into a full time position  depending on future projects and workload.</p>

The class creates a set of  documents including a floor plan, foundation/framing plan, elevations, wall  sections, schedules, site plan and electrical plans for a small house. The  instructor should be knowledgeable of&nbsp; AutoCAD and residential construction. The  class meets from 8AM to 11:40AM Tuesdays and Thursdays starting May 29, 2012 and  ending August 8, 2012. There is a week-long break the week of July 4.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Currently there are  16 students signed up for the class. These students have a background in AutoCAD  but little or no background in architectural  drawing.</p>
<p>The candidate  should have at least a bachelor&rsquo;s degree.</p>
